I can say that because I have been on a bus with some of me contemporaries for a solid three weeks now (ok, 2 weeks and 6 days for any idiots out there who want to bicker about detail).
Vienna. Short and Sweet. Skinning in the Donor with all the wacked projections. The wacko’s weren’t there like they were five years ago. I have no more clean underwear. I couldn’t stand to hang out in the shop where the first painting was. I could be grumpy. I choose not to. There’s too much good to be interrupted by my stinking tired. At the campsite so dudes undid our electricity. The showers were clean. The shop and supermarket close between 11am and 17:00 ????????
Second day. Sunshine and lollipops. No lollipops, but what I want to say what I really want to say is, the Spice Girls weren’t that bad were they? Holy shit … on this trip I’ve been constantly amazed at the pictures of youth Landry has been picking up …
I have no more shitters, no more clackers, I can’t put any change in the jukebox and the beat goes on … apparently my battery is low, but well, we’ll see.
I’m not in marketing. This isn’t a newspaper. I need time to process. Words will fuck up the images, and the images will never be received as they were fired. Your body can’t take a bullet so take it to the head. Feel that … knowledge or shit or both, read about Budapest, Vienna and Bratislava only after it has all slowed down, after it all seems far away.
What I was going to say was a massive and heartfelt Thanks to Lilo and Oliver and Marcus and Nick and Juan and Other and George and Poidl and Fordl, our friends from the No New Enemies show at Die Aesthiker who drove down from the Alps, the boys who came over from Graz too and so many kind people we’ve met from Vienna showed up to say wassup, to skin up, to paint and to chat and we spent a sick day sitting by the Danube; painting, laughing and living LARGE.
Really … that’s a rad thing in any trip, when people you’ve had a trip with show up with a smile, take you back for awhile and then, whatever, whatever…
We’re on our way to Bratislava … we’re Big Geezers on a Tour … and we’ll really shake them up, if Manny would skin up cuz he’s the biggest geezer on the tour.
