The Swedish-Senegalese singer Fatima will present her debut album Yellow Memories, that has been nominated by Gilles Peterson for one of the best albums of 2014. Her longplayer features collaborations with outstanding musicians like her label boss Floating Points, Detroit’s groovy lateral thinker Theo Parrish or Madlib's brother Oh No. Eglo Records describes it as a modern take on classic soul and R&B that comes around with melancholic introspection and vibrant, candy-coated melodies. As a nomadic child of the cosmos, drawing upon life inspiration and energy in everything from LA Freeways, London basements and The Sea through to Earth Wind And Fire and the sky above, Fatima sings in her songs like a jaw-dropping queen of soul for the millennial generation. On her side will be Eglo Records co-founder Alexander Nut who will play a classy range of sounds from hip hop, early dubstep, house, broken beat to soul, funk, jazz and the latest Eglo tracks by artists such as KUTMAH or Floating Points.
