Sense and sensibility: the Düsseldorf based trio Stabil Elite combines glamor, emotion, and cosmic transcendence with an instrumentation without limits. On their stirring debut album Douze Pouze you can hear bass, guitars, analogue synthesizers, drums in addition to less obvious sound sources like wood, metal, sitar, or a xylophone. On some songs singer Nicholas Szymanski chants collage-like, German texts, who come around like melodic, scenic descriptions of abstract imagery, which embrace Pop from an avant-garde perspective - more Dada than Gaga. In almost all songs there is a delicate melancholy that hangs as a symbol of sublime spirit and noble heart between and above moving Krautrock, Disco, Ambient, Cosmic and Surf-Pop compositions. During their magic live performances they dance the dance of youth - international, refreshing, and fearless.
