Düsseldorf: border crossings on the piano

This year's program features the Norwegian duo Deaf Center, worldwide famous for their ambient, contemporary classic and drone music mélange. Furthermore Thomas Ankersmit, a virtuoso on the analog Serge synthesizer, will play together with minimal musician and multimedia artist Phill Niblock - a man who's intermedially performances have already entered institutions like the Museum of Modern Art. For thrilling digital delay sound experiments and live electronic processing Pamela Z comes to play at the well-respected Salon Des Amateurs. A very special night will be Moondog on keys & piano and percussion, during which the Armenian pianist Mariam Tonoyan and the Swedish Trimba virtuoso Stefan Lakatos will perform their very own interpretation of the ageless music of Moondog, the once so called The Viking of 6th Avenue.
