Vans Classics x Carhartt WIP: IN STORES NOW

Inspired by the summer season ahead, the release focuses on the Vans Classic Chukka and Classic Slip-on.
Using the iconic Carhartt WIP Hickory Stripe fabric as a base, we had fun putting together a fresh colour palette consisting of navy, turquoise and white, along with fluorescent orange lining and clean, off white, suede detailing. A modern combination for such a classic fabric that manages to perfectly complement the products that are featured in the Spring/Summer 2015 Carhartt WIP collection.
An additional two products have been created to support the footwear offering: a Tote Bag and Bucket Hat made from the same Hickory Stripe material. Both of these pieces will also be available in all the Carhartt WIP stores and online.
To accompany the release, director David Couliau has created a short, fun film to showcase the collaboration. Shot in Belleville, a popular neighbourhood in Paris, the story features three skaters from the Carhartt WIP and Vans teams, (Joseph Biais, Denis Lynn and Jonas Skroder) providing an ironic insight into the unexpected consequences of downhill skating.
