Shifting Landscapes: Carhartt WIP FW14 Video Campaign - A Project by Alexander Basile

Walking through shifting landscapes, the Cologne-based artist shot the four videos (and the photo campaign) in one of Europe's oldest and largest industrial areas.

We asked Alexander for a quote about the project:

"Shifting Landscapes" describes living in a contemporary urban environment, perpetually connected to its digital copy.

We are continuously referring to it and feeding its content and creating its patterns. You may sit on a train or a bus and for a fraction of a second you see those patterns appear in front of your eyes in the cityscape; it feels so familiar to you in the virtual space.

This mix of elements of space fascinates me, melting these elements to create new types of landscapes, even when it feels scary sometimes."
