This season, Adam Kimmel takes classic Carhartt codes and injects them with sophisticated, slimmer cuts and Adam Kimmel’s signature, refined finishings. Carhartt’s classic, utilitarian pieces are married to Adam Kimmel’s design aesthetics resulting in a highly wearable and functional collection made of lightweight fabrics in shades of khaki, beige, olive, navy and black for spring.
The Adam Kimmel Carhartt collection is presented by Paintallica, a collaborative group of artist friends who have a mutual interest in building things and “getting rowdy”. Paintallica describe their imagery and tools as remnants of the working-class, rural American roots of most of their members, in this case Dan Attoe, Jamie Boling and Jesse Albrecht (complete article with images in Carhartt WIP Brand Book Spring / Summer 2012).
The 28-piece collection, comprising outerwear, jackets, reversible shirts, hoodies with removable sleeves, T-shirts, pants, jeans and a trucker hat, is available at Barneys in the US and at select international retailers, among them:
Zurich, Munich, Paris St. Honoré, London Earlham St., Berlin, Copenhagen, NYC, Tokyo
