Live broadcast: Carhartt WIP x NTS x Open Source
- Date published
Next stop Düsseldorf: our NTS x Carhartt WIP Radio Tour 2016 continues and travels down to the capital city of the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia to broadcast two days in a row. On the 8th of July we will install our special, custom-built booth that reproduces the original NTS Radio booth in London in our Carhartt WIP store in Düsseldorf and welcome Trevor Jackson - man behind the British dance act Playgroup, ex-manager of the defunct label Output and Audio-visual adventurer. During his NTS resident show he presents a broad spectrum of brand new experimental music, along with ancient oddities of every perceivable genre. Also in Düsseldorf he is ready to perform an uncompromising journey into the unexpected. And he gets the right buddies to do it the real unique way: Düsseldorf's one-off-a-kind contemporary in-demand producer Tolouse Low Trax and Rearview Radio of the label Themes For Great Cities. Both will join him in the booth to play some music for sick minds and warm hearts.
One day later on the 9th of July we will visit the Open Source Festival and broadcast live from the festival ground that is located on a picturesque horse racecourse. Here the NTS hosts Rory Bowens and ML of 150 Session welcome several Open Source Festival guest like Gaika, the Max Graef Band, Wolf Müller & Cass, Stabil Elite and Oddisee. They will play some of their favorite tunes, tell us why, spread some stories about their touring life and the Open Soucre Festival experience.
If you like to get an impression of how our NTS x Carhartt WIP Radio Tour sounds so far, we have archived each show by artists such as Gerd Janson, Pional, GE-OLOGY, Ruf Dug, Shanti Celeste or NTS hosts like Moxie and Kutmah. You can listen to them via our free-of-charge Carhartt WIP Radio APP (iPhone and Android). For those who can’t come around to any of the special broadcast happenings in Düsseldorf: make sure to tune in at the NTS Radio live channel.
