Ian Dykmans!

What you need to know about him is that he isn't in any kind of a hurry. In this era of everything-now-instantly, Ian takes the time to find an old camera store, talk with the owner, and perhaps if he is lucky he will get the man's out of date film or photo paper. He also ventures early in the morning into all sorts of European flea markets to look for old cameras. Sometimes you win, sometimes you loose, which means some cameras never actually function. But the ones which do are treated with love and patience. When finally the real concrete thought of shooting a photo arises, Ian meticulously gets it done. Just a couple shots, properly framed, and here we go for the slow hand made development process. More light on this one, perhaps a slightly more tainted or yellow paper ? Finally the photo is printed and perhaps it will be shown. Ian takes his time and only shows a few of his shots to the world. He is an idealist, a poet, a rebellious dreamer, and so he shows in his photos.
