JOIN US AND TAKE A VOYAGE INTO POSTVIRTUAL SPACE WITH SEBASTIAN DENZ´S SKATEBOARDING.3D!

After SKATEBOARDING.3d has been present at the Photokina in September, this is the Sebastian’s next show. The gallery had to mount some extra walls to have enough space for the impressive 250cm +125cm frames!!

“SKATEBOARDING.3D is about space in a phenomenological sense and about skateboarders creating their own construction of reality within these spaces. With the example of skateboarding-culture I bring up for discussion a hybrid space that is somewhere in between virtual and ‘real’ – a ‘Postvirtual Space’ … Therefore I photographed more than 20 Carhartt-Team-Skaters around Europe with a unique large-format-3D-camera (8×10in) which has been built especially for this project. The exhibition shows some of them in the ‘real hyper-reality’ of life-sized high resolution 3D-images.”
