Chino Choices

All of the pants in our new seasonal collection are constructed from tough-but-comfortable fabrics, with subtle branding and a considerable eye for detailing, like bar-tack stitch reinforcement and utility pockets. However, it can often be hard to pick out the right pair from a laptop or phone screen, so we decided to take a look at how some of our chino styles fit and feel. It’s by no means exhaustive, but it’s a start – a nice mix of much-loved classics and new-season freshness.

Exhibit A: Sid Pant
Slim and sharp, the Sid Pant is a versatile chino pant crafted from a cotton-blend twill with added stretch for improved comfort. It features two side pockets, two reverse pockets and a woven Carhartt ‘C’ logo label. This is a one of the most slim-fitting, tapered pants within our range, and has been executed in a slew of new seasonal colors, from autumnal hues to metro blues.

Exhibit B: Master Pant
A staple of our collections, the Master Pant was one of the first chino styles we ever created at Carhartt WIP. It is constructed from our robust, 8.8oz Denison Twill, which is a tough midweight poly-cotton blend with a clean, crisp aesthetic, and also features subtle workwear-inspired detailing, such as bartack stitch reinforcement at stress points. This pant has a classic, straight cut with a slight taper below the knee.

Exhibit C: Dallas Pant
Created in classic straight cut, the Dallas Pant is constructed from a pure cotton twill. Similar in its no-nonsense aesthetic to the Master Pant, and also created in a midweight cotton twill, the key difference in this style is its shorter inseam, which means its hem breaks just as it hits your sneaker. Of all the pants spotlighted here, these one has the loosest silhouette.
