It’s your chance to enjoy live the work of the artists, while having a chat and a drink in a magnificent space for live art. Artist collective Vaqueros De Barcelona (VDB) suggests a chilly but wide-ranging program. Beside the Painting Party, they invite you to follow the party flow and meet the artists in one of the best-known dance halls of the capital. If you hadn’t had enough, on Saturday you’ll be able to check by yourselves artists studio skills in the collective show at Yron Space—a recently opened art space in town, but without any doubt yet a reference in contemporary art and trends.
The last suggestion is to visit the Open Air Free Mural Show: if you are in Lisbon between the 10th and 14th of September you can see many Portuguese street artists painting the free murals alongside the charismatic S. Bento Street, in the heart of the city—just beside the Assembleia da República.
Vaqueros De Barcelona.
The VDB Project was created by 3 Barcelona based cultural detonators to celebrate independent street art scene and artists who contribute to a richer and more colourful society; to honour those who convert streets into a living gallery for everyone to enjoy.
The name “Vaqueros De Barcelona” (Cowboys of Barcelona) wants to reflect the new situation in Barcelona, since the city council approved the Civic law (2005) that outlawed street art. Since then, conditions of the Barcelona artists have become more and more like the Wild West…
It’s time for cowboys.
