When block partys gained popularity in the USA during the late 1970ees within the hip hop community, street lights often illegally supplied the power to the DJ's sound system. Nothing new for those who can sing along the KRS-One tune South Bronx. The song glorifies the old hip hop times - a part of music history that today strikes back in many contemporary DJ sets. Also at this years Block Party Special during Fête de la Musique presented by Carhartt WIP, Paper Boy and Rinse FM oldschool beats will call the tune. That's what Parisian DJ's like 8TM, ANDY4000, or Kirou Kirou guarantee. They also deliver contemporary Ghetto sounds as well as Trap, glitch R&B and all other sorts of hip hop subgenres. Wild big bass business will be around too, played by Teki Latex, DJ Orgasmic and Manarè to name but a few. Furthermore, there will be a very special unheralded quest and for live action DJ Meh brings more future hip hop. So come to 137 Rue Amelot between 6 pm and midnight for chilling and dancing to some funky fresh jams.
