Harsh, transgressive, provocative – Moscow's JOY party blends industrial, techno and experimental electronic music that revels in big rave sounds.
On the bill this time is the Belgian band Monolith, playing its post-industrial and rhythmic noise live. The other live acts will be the German Drum'n'Noise crew Winterkaelte, dark-techno seducer Protosoniq, as well as a host of young Russian electronic acts like Lvrin, Vsegda Inogda and Электрическая Собака. Additionally, expect DJ sets of rough, heady machine music. From Berlin, Tresor-resident REKA will bring wave, EBM and IDM influenced techno; from Saint-Petersburg Torn will present heavy electronic metal rhythms; and local hero Abelle, who is currently one of the most prominent names in Moscow's electronic scene, will provide innovative, experimental techno music.
