Running Back, the label behind Lauer's album, describes his music as an unabashed mix of House, cock-eyed Electro, New Wave Trance, gloomy gothic grooves, and lots of songs without words. We agree and add: his synth lines are breathtaking and on stage he is a gentle but demanding whip!
His performance in Munich is part of a Permanent Vacation label night. As usual the Permanent Vacation head-honchos Benjamin Fröhlich and Tom Bioly make sure that you get amazed by rhythms and harmonies beyond the usual.
To whet your appetite here a nice found footage video to the Lauer track 70000ac, made by Holger Wüst - visual artist of the club Robert Johnson. Enjoy!
