Depending on how much tea you’ve had from this mug it will let you know how rad you are at that moment, from “milk crate ollies” to “lasers on lock” all the way to “serious radness”. A good way to get you hyped for the day or to keep you finishing the whole cup without leaving a drop of tea behind, getting you fully RAD!!!
Lovenskate
The driving force at Lovenskate is Stuart Smith. When Stu printed the first fanzine about skateboarding he started the whole idea of Lovenskate, he was soon joined by many likeminded skateboarders and artists around him that wanted to be a part of the project. Nowadays Lovenskate is a proper company managed by friends who print whatever they feel like in their facilities. They “go skate, drink tea and talk nonsense” and develop new ideas together. Skateboard decks, Tshirts, fanzines or mugs, it might be something funny or stupid; as long as it portrays their affection for something ‘skateboarding’, they’ll do it. The Lovenskate team consists of Alex Barton, Lucy Adams, Matt Ransom, Liam Sproat and Ewen Bower. Their head quarters are in Bethnal Green. To keep up to date with this crew check out Lovenskate.com.
Stuart Smith
Stuart Smith grew up in Maidstone in Kent where he, at the age of 16, quit his job at Burger King to skate more. The merging with Carhartt came about through a common friend, French, who had designed a Tshirt for carhartt and let Stu’s company finish the printing job. Since then Stu’s printed various Tshirts for skate events and companies also with illustrations by French, printed products for book and record releases and of course the Tea-rrific! collaboration which included a Tshirt, a skateboard deck, a mug and a teapot. To promote the collaboration we will have a trip to Isle of Man in the near future, where rad tricks will go down, well off the Scale of Radness!
