Hors Bord Festival is back after its highly acclaimed launch in 2016, once again bringing together an eclectic mix from both local and national art and music scenes, as well as a host of international stars. Situated in the port city of Bordeaux, the festival will take place in the heart of Bassins ‡ Flot – a post-industrial zone comprising of old sea-vessels, bunkers, water and concrete. Intended to be more than just a music festival, the three-day event will also include local food trucks, fine artists, and second-hand vinyl sellers. In terms of musical entertainment, Rush Hour founder Antal will play a b2b-set with Motor City Drum Ensemble - expect a stylish mix of rare records from around the globe. For those who like banging techno and house vibes, Hamburg's DJ Koze and Detroit's Omar-S, two long-standing artists in the game, will be in attendance. Also on the bill: Canadian rock band Suuns, UK jazz-but-not-jazz outfit Floating Points, Richard Fearless who will present his latest Death In Vegas tunes, legendary French electronic disco project Black Devil Disco Club, NTS broadcaster and producer Beatrice Dillon and Finland's man for special sound affairs Jaakko Eino Kalevi. These international artists will be complemented by local newcomers and stalwarts of the French scene, such as Lyon-based house and techno new kid Kosme, Bordeaux’s dark synth impresario Hørd, and Bambounou from Paris.
