Rewire festival released its second wave of artists. New confirmations include a multitude of premieres and exceptional performances. Newly confirmed acts are: James Holden, who will do a world premiere and collaborate with Maalem Houssam Guinia from Morocco for an intriguing combination of traditional and futuristic music. Furthermore Rewire has commissioned a musical gathering of Vessel, Black Rain and Pete Swanson, who will also world premiere an improvisation with noise, dark ambient and industrial sounds. In addition Babyfather, Dean Blunt’s new project, will celebrate its Dutch premiere as well as Footwork one-of-a-kind Jerilynn Patton aka Jlin.
The sixth edition of the annual international festival for adventurous music is taking place in The Hague from April 1st to 3rd. So far acts like Mica Levi & Stargaze, Teho Teardo & Blixa Bargeld, Animal Collective, Battles, Beatrice Dillon, Poppy Ackroyd, Xiu Xiu, Ben UFO or Lena Willikens are confirmed.
