Big Geezers Tour - Bratislava

3 weeks in and still dancing. I like their style, but lack their pace. I have too much beer in me. I feel 3 months swollen. It’s starting to show. I need a day off, but this life is my job and now things need to be sorted. So many things acquired, and I am aware of the need to slow down and take this trip again from home.
It’s over and beginning again. We skun harder than AC/DC and Metallica combined. In every city we met nice people, explored collaboration, worked, walked, skun and spun. The local geezers almost always got in on the piece. Bratislava stands out. The last stop. Not the furthest in kilometers, but surely the furthest. The last day, the last party, the fact that the boys were playing Speed Skull Painting on the store wall as Chaz took a break from busting out an illustrated tour log at Tokame (hilarious), all of it, was all well fucking Proper. Looking for inspiration in Bratislava? It comes in the shape of a sweet and absolutely insane magician from Argentina, conducting a mad and intelligent experiment just down the hill from the castle. Wordsup to fresh Chris and his foxy ladyfare. Anybody else see the Planet Rock with Vincent Galo and Kool Mo Dee? Better than Lassiter with Tom Selleck. That’s for sure.
And looking back—Bratislava—old town is lovely, but cruise on out and the smiles are gone. We stayed at a 3 star hotel where even the breakfast has bouncers. When work started on some sort of local ‘hall of fame,’ everybody was wondering, which kind of codes would come cold clockin before the paint dried. In the end, the only comeback was a group of kids, who somehow had spray paint in the same shade of green as the geezers and we’re getting up in an excited frenzy for what looks like the first time … school’s may be prison, but an education is everything…
