Moxie hits the road again this week, bringing her On Loop party to Manchester, London and the little Welsh village Portmeirion, where she’ll host a festival stage.
It all starts in Manchester's Soup Kitchen on Friday September 7th where the London-based NTS host, label runner and DJ welcomes the Detroit-native Byron The Aquarius, a man who goes deep into house science with a funky-futuristic approach. Furthermore, the Zutekh DJs, residents of underground house and techno party Zutekh, will drop some electronic grooves beyond the norm.
Next stop is London's cosy The Pickle Factory, where once again Byron The Aquarius joins Moxie in the booth. They will be accompanied by Bradley Zero, the man behind the soulful house, disco and beyond label Rhythm Section International. As a producer and DJ he loves to melt hip hop, Jazz, house, and other electronic rhythms – the perfect match to play alongside Moxie and Byron.
Finally, on Sunday, Moxie will host an On Loop stage at a festival in the Welsh village Portmeirion, that is simply called Festival N°6. Here her good friend Shanti Celeste, the once-Bristol and now Berlin-based DJ, producer and Peach Discs label head honcho, will join her for a daytime session in the name of odd house sensations. The other guests are producer and NTS host Nabihah Iqbal, formerly known as Throwing Shade, a girl who stands for versatility, as can be experienced on her 2017 debut album Weighing Of The Heart. The party gets rounded off with a set by Peach, a relatively new girl on the NTS resident roster who knows how to melt old and new dance music with a thrilling story arc.
