Their names are Pender Street Steppers and Hashman Deejay and they both are based in Vancouver, Canada. The former consists of Jack Juston and Liam Butler who published in 2013 a tape album and a deep house 12inch called Bubble World - both released on the Canadian imprint Mood Hut. In 2014 they debuted with the ep Openin' Up on the famed Washington, DC based label PPU and delivered a magical disco house detour full of 80s-flavoured synth soundscapes. Compared to his colleagues the music of Hashman Deejay melts ambient hip hop, electro-dubbed house and analogue synth elements into a moving ocean of sound. His ep Tangerine and his album Sandapolis have been released by Future Times, the other label from capital of the United States that has built a reputation for adventurous releases that tie together disco, boogie and house. Together they travel to the Iberian peninsula to perform at the Paraleloan party - one of the most forward thinking club nights in Spain taking place in the North Spanish towns San Sebastian and Bilbao. Expect the unexpected and be ready for a bash full of old and new music that sounds like it comes straight from the future.
