Carhartt WIP and Erased Tapes Records do it again

To celebrate the debut album by the recently formed Icelandic duo Kiasmos - a new project of Ólafur Arnalds and Janus Rasmussen - Carhartt WIP and the London based record company Erased Tapes Records teamed up and produced a limited t-shirt. Together the duo produced a thrilling melodic detour into the world of techno. The album has been mainly recorded in Arnalds’s newly build studio in Reykjavík, Iceland, using acoustic instruments next to a variety of synthesisers, drum machines and tape delays. The self titled record also features a live drummer, a string quartet and Arnalds on the grand piano. It is loaded with eigth melancholic tracks that are perfect for listening at home and equally good to dance along while recalling producers like Pantha Du Prince, Recondite or Âme in terms of groove and atmosphere. You can order the full record here. The t-shirts are availabe at bleep and at the Erased Tapes store.
