Cologne: vintage lo-fi pop miracles

Since more then 6 years the man from Los Angeles cause quite a stir in the underground Pop scene with his ultra lo-fi recordings that are sweet and sincere even if they often groove quiet surreal and bizarre.
Now he recorded the album Before Today more or less professionally with his streetwise band Haunted Graffiti. But even if he jumped into slick production modes: his music still sounds pretty modest and simple. And this with a variety of styles that long from Glamrock and West Coast Funk to eighties R&B, Miami Vice guitar riffs, Garage Rock, and seventies B-Movie-sounds – all bunched into remarkable Pop harmonies that will loop in your head forever.
Now the Apus will present his thrilling showbag together with his versed experimenting band during a Europe tour. His stop in Cologne is strongly recommended because he will play at King Georg, the right intimate place to feel the free-wheeling spirit of his boundless excursions into Pop closely.
