For the fourth time now the Open Source Festival takes place in Düsseldorf – but this time at a new venue: The Galopprennbahn in the gorgeous Grafenberger Wald, a green hill in the middle of woods, offers the perfect location for the cozy and somehow familial day and night event.
Once again the festival lives up to its promises by presenting music beyond measures: From Reggae to Hip Hop, from Indie Rock to Miami Bass, from Techno to Dubstep: the line up leaves nothing left to be desired.
Headliners during the daytime bash are the British Pop-Poet Mike Skinner aka The Streets and the German Indie-Rock stars Tocotronic.
Besides the main stage, Mark Ernestus and Tikiman aka Rhythm & Sound spread some dusty Dub clouds, Prefuse 73 amalgamate Hip Hop and Electronic while the Soul Jazz Soundsystem melts all sorts of Dub influenced music, all on an exclusive Carhartt stage.
At nightfall the location moves to the clubs Zakk and Rotkopot (free shuttle between the venues!) where acts like CLP, Douglas Greed, TRG or Tobias Becker create a splash made from all sorts of clubmusic.
Tickets are already available.
