Kuba Baczkowski started to skate in 1996. He works as a photographer and graphic designer and also is the editor-in-chief of a new independent Polish skate magazine called "Barrier Skate Mag" which just came out together with the Polish skateboard video "Grey Area". The content of the 1st issue goes all around the video and the skaters in it like Carhartt teamrider Michal Juras, but let Kuba explain it himself:
I started shooting skateboarding in 2008. After a couple of years i decided to create (start?) my own skatemag, where I would show good Polish and European skateboarding. Barrier Skate Mag is an independent project, focused on the most interesting aspects of skateboarding and photography. It is also a place for publication of works of talented photographers and artists from all over the world. First issue is about Kuba Kaczmarczyk's and Pawel Przybyl's movie "Grey Area", so you can check photos of some tricks of skaters staring in this movie.
Right now he is building up a network to bring "Barrier Skate Mag" to everyone who is interested in it. So if you are, don't hesitate to contact him. Here are some more details about the mag:
Basically the idea of this magazine is to make sort of an album with a lots of photos and not too much text. Format of the mag is A5, printed once every two or three months (that is the plan), but it is all without pressure. If I gather a good photo material, then I will print next issue. Available in the best skateshops in Poland ( I hope one day even in European skateshops) and online on our website, which is under construction right now. If you want, you can check the barrierblog where I put news, videos, and photos related to our way of skateboarding.

We wish him all the best for the future and we are waiting for the next issues to come! For further information and to keep updated, visit:
