Gijón: Laboratorio de Electrónica Visual

Carhartt WIP proudly co-presents the always good for a surprise happening in Gijón, that connects visual arts and electronic music in a very unique way. As usual all concerts take place across city in different spaces. On the bill you find the legendary experimental electronic music band Cabaret Voltaire, who will play their second live performance in over 20 years. Founding member Richard H Kirk will perform strictly new material alongside multi-screen projections of images he created for his latest compositions. Also the Australian minimalist, instrumental and experimental music composer Ben Frost performs live alongside moving pictures. Together with the Berlin based visual artist MFO he will introduce his latest album AURORA.

Another highlight of the three day festival will be a live show of The Hagues finest odd techno and beyond producer Legowelt. Beside him also Gazelle Twin from the UK, Bochum Welt from Italy and Yuri Suzuki from Japan will play amongst others. In addition a special screening of the independent skateboarding video project Öctagon, supported by Carhartt WIP, takes place and RBMA presents an outstanding program with a Japan focus featuring artists like Yosi Horikawa or Daisuke Tanabe.
