It’s almost CTM time again when Berlin gets its first vibrant festival of the year. Carhartt WIP proudly presents a futuristic Hip Hop and Dancehall stage during the second weekend of CTM 2018. We kick off this year’s edition with an in-store at the Carhartt WIP Mitte store during the Vorspiel event on the 19th. The topic of this years CTM is the current global political, economic and ecological turmoil and the question: what can music do to resist? On the bill is an illustrious mix of names from all corners of the globe, spanning from deep sound searcher Rashad Becker, experimental industrial producer Pan Daijing, heavy hitters Boys Noize, German-efficiency producer Errorsmith, stunning Spanish producer and DJ JASSS, South-African house goddess Lakuti, romantic Romanian wave techno producer Borusiade, NTS’ finest Elena Colombi, odd grooves wizard James Ferraro and German NDW body music inventors D.A.F... to name a few.
On February 3rd Carhartt WIP proudly presents a special night in the name of futuristic dancehall, outtaspace trap, fuzzy grime and hybrid techno, noise, and ambient. At club Yaam, expect Flex Dance Music dons Hitmakerchinx and DJ Aaron, Jamaican avant-dancehall collective Equiknoxx, DJ and NO SHADE co-founder Hunnid Jaws, Nihiloxica from Uganda, UK MC and self-described tomboy/feminist/rebel/misfit Roxxxan, as well as internet sensation Bad Gyal.
