He deejays since 1988 and already produced countless EPs and three LPs: Oscar Mulero is a veteran of the Spanish electronic music scene and keeps all Iberian techno and house devotees grooving since long. Now he presents his audiovisual project Biolive together with the Gijón based photography, video, sound, and multimedia artist collective Fium in order to create a dialogue between music and moving pictures. Stylistically Mulero delivers a musical mixture that reminds on the textures of Aphex Twin's Selected Ambient Works, the cold and futuristic feel of the early works of Autechre, as well as on the uncomplicated beats of LFO. On the visual level Fium will take the audience from micro to macro while narrating with pictures that are ranging from molecular structures to the landscapes of Asturias. A synaesthetic journey in which visual art seemingly put up a stirring fight against twisted and decidedly dark techno.
