“I studied psychology but somehow ended up documenting the berlin skatebaord-scene. I have been doing this for about eight years now. I started taking pictures while i was in highschool, but back then i never took pictures of skateboarding.
In 2000 I founded a small independent media joint. It is called anzeigeberlin. Some might be familiar with the panorama dvd that we published in 2004. In 2005 we started making a little berlin copyshop fanzine. Besides beeing the greatest fun, this project has gone some way since, we just published issue #22 of „anzeigeberlin information“, the zine is beeing offset-printed on nice eco-paper and we keep getting more support from the industry.
I love to take analog pictures, but tend to use my digital camera more and more these days (these machines have become so advanced it is just fucking amazing – combining a high iso with an open aperture of a fixed lens makes a new kind of photography possible). I am very thankful that my job is giving me a chance to spend a lot of time outdoors and keep rolling.”
