A.P.C.'s Jean Touitou and Carhartt´s Arnaud Faeh both hate the concept of collaboration. What then should we make of the Carhartt + A.P.C. collection, now in it's third incarnation?
In their words it is simple: “Boat Mates”. It is the birth of a new brand by a group of guys Who are friends foremost but also happen to run very popular, successful brands. That is, the Carhartt + A.P.C. project is not the construct of some faceless marketing executive but rather an organic development between Touitou and the team at Carhartt, creating product using instinct as the principal guide.
