“Growing up, Carhartt’s and my interests were really similar, I wasn't familiar with the heritage or story of the brand but I felt that label pretty close to everything I was crashing on at the time. Were the easily 90's. – After almost 17 years the relationship represented a close circle in a culture; in a professional and personal way. So, I felt pretty comfortable to use a series of images that became iconic photographs of my early work in New York. The image of the building is actually the first frame I ever shot in the city. Taken from my YMCA crappy room where I spent my first 10 days in 2005. This photograph is very close to me because I’m still here and I consider NYC my home. Images are on display at the Leica Gallery in NYC, also Patricia Armocida Gallery in Milano and used as a subject for the project PS1 available in MOMA Bookshop in Queens, NY.“
