Artist Feature: Fleur Earth Experiment

She sings and raps in German, lives in Cologne and disposes poetic sincere Soul Hip Hop: Fleur Earth is the German equipollent to American Soul and R&B sisters like Bahamadia or Angie Stone.

For her second longplayer Soul Des Cabots, out on Melting Pot Music in March, she intensified her work with her five piece band under the moniker Fleur Earth Experiment to arrange some more timeless heartbreakers between Soul, Reggae, Jazz and Rock.

Beside the touching handmade rhythms and breaks the lyrics are the main highlight of Fleur Earth Experiment. Once Germany’s greatest man of letters, Goethe, inspired songstress Fleur to write little odes about her life. Sometimes abstract, sometimes critique, but always with spirit she now seduces the listener with ambiguous words that go far behind the standard. All this embedded in catchy melodies that grow each time you listen to them.

In a nutshell this is an organic edged Soul variation charged with miscellaneous references to the rich history of Rap music.
