Spain: L.E.V. Festival at Matadero
- Date published
Gijon's globally acclaimed L.E.V. Festival hits the Spanish capital Madrid for the first time, bringing their multidisciplinary approach to the cultural institution Matadero.
As usual the line-up features the more arty side of contemporary electronic music and links it to art related multimedia channels. There will be live sets from the British Hyperdub artist Ikonika and US-American and contemporary artist and hypnagogic-pop/vaporwave pioneer James Ferraro. Other shows will come from versatile London-based producer Sega Bodega, Aïsha Devi introduces her cybernetic electronic music and legendary English electronic music duo Plaid plays a rare show. As a very special guest larger-than-life US-American composer and electronic music innovator Morton Subotnick performs together with Berlin based media artist Lillevan and Atari Teenage Riot founding member Alec Empire a one-off show, that the trio specially created for the Spanish audiovisual festival.
Make sure to check the full program and bring a free spirited mind-set to one of the finest festivals the Iberian Peninsula has to offer.
