Cologne/Düsseldorf: Salon Des Amateurs meets Acephale

This coming weekend, Cologne-based venue Acephale will joins forces with Düsseldorf’s Salon Des Amateurs to present hot, experimental, but deeply moving music from Ireland, with close ties to the in-demand Dublin based label Wah Wah Wino. For live action Davy Kehoe will present his Short Passing Game LP, plus material that flits between electronic, jazz, experimental blues, folk and world-music spheres. Kehoe’s pal, Who's The Technician?, will perform his soulful jacking sci-fi-rhythms live. In the DJ booth you will find the Wah Wah Wino next of kin Wino Wagon, Bobby Birdman and DJ Stussylove, who’ll bring Dublin's latest party vibes to the German Rhine area. Local support comes from the Themes For Great Cities head-honcho Rearview Radio and two comrades from Cologne – disco, dub and synth-pop wizard Fizzy Veins, and DJ 2Beers, who just released a stunning record under the alias TBZ called OG_Beers. Expect weird grooves, tricky moves and unheard frequencies.
