European Skateboard Championships 2002
16 – 18 August 2002 in Basel, Switzerland
Once again, Etnies and Carhartt joined their forces and brought tons and tons of material to the St. Margarethen ice stadium in Basel/ Switzerland, for the 2nd edition of the European Skateboard Championships. The weather was killer, sunshine the whole weekend with an avergage temperature of about 30 degrees.
Over 350 skaters from all over europe came to compete, over 7000 people came to see the show in a very friendly and mellow atmosphere. IOU took care of the technical streetcourse and vertical from Basel hooked us up with the huge vertramp, the miniramp-bowl combination and a public street course.
A big thank you to everyone who made this contest possible, especially the over 100 staff-people and the city of Basel.
