Cologne: psychedelic Pop glamour

October 12, 2011

With Earthy Powers the Munich based duo Pollyester released one of the finest leftfield Pop albums of the year.

Now they finally hit the road to promote their record with a thrilling show. This Thursday they stop by in Cologne at the cozy club bar King Georg, a place where you are so close to the musicians that sometimes you feel like beeing part of the band. Hopefully this atmosphere will rise up when Polina Lapkovskaja aka Polly - the glamorous singer of Pollyester - dances around with her microphone while singing surreal mantra-esque poems that easily loop in your head forever.

That their bewitching psychedelic Pop will make you dance is for sure, because its energetic Krautrock rhythms, string-laden Disco galaxies, and dark touching New Wave grooves are compelling. But dancing together with singer Polly makes it even more irresistible.
