This month we caught up with Modeselektor from Berlin who put together a very special Carhartt Radio show. Instead of presenting just their own material, they mixed a programme with tracks from acts like Martyn or Four Tet – all to get you grooving for the Meltselektor Stage at this year's Melt! Festival.

Permanent Vacation:

Since 2006 Benjamin Froehlich and Tom Bioly run Permanent Vacation, a record label that is hard to pigeonhole. The Munich based community switches from Balearic to Cosmic, back to Disco nuggets or edgy House without loosing its focus.

Exclusively and very personal: Carhartt Radio isn't just another DJ mix! Personally the creators themselves will broadcast selected music and individual shows. Label owners, DJs and artists will play, perform and talk about their own music and their backgrounds. That's the intimate amateur view, brought by pros.

Versatility is the buzzword — from bubble-bath-soul to technical death metal, from booty beats to nerdy hip hop from girl-pop to eclectic dubstep. The labels and artists involved in this project will represent their own genre in the stream and show the diversity of the musical world we live in.
